Why I Think Minecraft Teaches More Than School

Some people think video games are just for fun but I think Minecraft can actually teach you a lot maybe even more than school sometimes. When I play I’m always building planning and solving problems. It helps me be creative and think in new ways. In this blog I’ll share why I believe Minecraft is more than just a game. Minecraft teaches you stuff from school but in a fun way. It helps you learn without even knowing. Like science when you pour water on lava it turns into obsidian. That’s a real reaction. And when you smelt iron ore in a furnace it turns into iron just like how real metals are made. It’s like doing science while playing. Crafting is also super fun. You take stuff like sticks and diamonds and make a pickaxe. Or wood and iron to make a sword. You have to remember what goes where and it feels awesome when you get it right. It helps with math too. Stuff stacks up to 64 so you end up counting a lot. Like if you have 3 stacks of cobblestone that’s 64 plus 64 plus 64. That’s ma...
